Course Description. Math 123: Preparation for Calculus I is a half-semester course. It is designed for students currently enrolled in Calculus I (Math 135 or Math 151) that need additional preparation to successfully complete the course. Rather than continuing to struggle in Calculus I, these students can switch to Math 123.

I took 151 and due to a shitty professor, I had to self-teach myself everything. 152 is going to be brutal regardless of if you take 135 or 151 but honestly I would just suggest taking ... Math 135: We ALL failed. The cat's out of the bag. The Calc I final exam was hard. I mean, obnoxiously hard . The final exam reviews & the final exams were given to us from the years 1999-2019, twenty years' worth of final exam material to study. The final exam we were given did not share an ounce of comparison to any of these.

The Formats used in the courses. Until recently, all Calculus at Rutgers was taught in a traditional 4-credit format, consisting of two 80-minute lectures and one 55-minute recitation each week. Most sections of Calculus 135-136 are still taught that way, but this is no longer the case with Math 151-152.
