I doubt the crank is broken. You would still have oil pressure. If you have a scanner pull up the cam and crank sensor/signal and see if you're getting a reading. If you've got a broken crank and you lose those readings, it can cause a no start. actual fuel pressure reads like 5psi while cranking.
