Carries better than a 19, roughly same slide width but shorter grip. A 30s makes a lot of sense to me. 10 rounds with the stock mag (pearce mag grip recommended) and 13 round G21 mags for the range or as a backup mag. If you aren't going to carry and are just going to use it for range or home use, the 30 with it's heavier slide is nicer to shoot. The 21 has a light on it and is used for home defence. The 30 is kept in my desk and the 36 is kept on my person. The 36 is the easiest to carry. The 30 isn't bad to carry though I find myself pulling my pants up a lot.

On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.

Jan 19, 2013 · The 30S has the SF frame. The SF, regular and Gen4 frames are the same width. The grip, front to back, is shorter on the SF and Gen4 models than on the regular G30. Glock should just make the SF models the standard now. There really isn't any point in having the current standard frame anymore. The Glock 30 sits by the bed and is ready to roll. A 1911 is a straight shooter, you aim it, pull the trigger and it goes right where you want it. Glocks on the other hand need to have the 'grip' mastered before a rapid situation.
