VP9 is the tits. I got a shield and I liked shooting it better than my stoeger cougar. So I decided to look at replacing the cougar which is my current bedside gun with a gun more similar to a shield that can also hold a light and 15+ rounds of 9mm while having a thinner and better feeling grip than a cougar.

The VP9 was fun to shoot, but I personally liked the CZ better. For him the answer may be different. I liked the CZ for the following reasons. 1.) Grip size. You could compare the VP9 against the P10 however. I've owned all these pistols. As far as CZ goes I prefer the P07 to any of the 10's. Also have the P09. VP09 has better controls than P10. The trigger felt quite a bit better than the p10c and while they were both good in the hand the VP9 has the inserts and you can really tailor it. Based on what I read the VP9 is more reliable too. May 11, 2017 · I have several VP9s and several Glock 19s and I'm currently evaluating the CZ P10C. I find the ergos of the VP9 better for me. I find the pistols to be similarly accurate. The HK has more muzzle flip (higher bore axis) but it is less snappy and punishing to the hand (you can dissipate energy only so many ways).

It has a more defined breaking point compared to the HK's mushier break. The CZ reset is much shorter than the VP9. Either are plenty acceptable. Interesting, personally I find the Glock grip design to be superior to anything CZ has ever made and I have had CZ's (75, P-01, P-07, P-09, P-10C, and P-10F) for far longer than my Glocks. The Glock grip makes both indexing out of the holster and recoil control extremely easy and repeatable compared to the "ergonomic" feeling CZs. VP9, 509, P10C, P320, G17/19, M&P, PPQ, you can't go wrong with any of em. Pick whichever makes you smile the most and make sure it's 9mm. It can be debated ad naseum which is "best" or more reliable, but they all seem to be pretty damn close to each other.

The CZ P10c holds 15 rounds and is slightly bigger than a Glock 19. It fits in a size category between a Glock 19 and a Glock 17. The size category of the CZ P10c seems to be without a hump a lot of people can conceal it just fine. But a Glock 19 is a better-sized gun to conceal.
