It's very difficult, but a great way to learn all of the game' mechanics. From what I'm hearing, you are playing vanilla. You don't seem to understand that DayZ is a Survival game first, and a pvp/rpg second. The "learning curve" of DayZ is surviving long enough to get to the top of the map where all the loot is.

Try waiting in a forest near a railroad for 15 minutes and then patrol the rails. You'll find way more stones. If you find a lot of stones on a rail you havent been near before, then that tells you a player is nearby. Killing zombies has a good chance of giving you kitchen/steak knives.DayZ has more longevity than rust. You can play less time on DayZ because you can log out with your loot and cant lose it whilst logged off. Rust is just a huge commitment, you have to log on pretty much everyday so you don't lose your base. Gain some perspective bloody hell.Official servers have ping caps set to 300 ms. This means if your ping ever spikes over 300, you get instantly kicked. All it takes is a single spike of ping over the cap. Unfortunately, these ping spikes are common for a lot of people's internet, but you don't notice it in other games because the connection to servers is more forgiving.A 6800xt will probably get you close to 144fps at 1440p with high settings in DayZ as long as the server isn't choking itself.
