The "comp" isn't very effective. We're talking about something that only gets gassed a tiny bit before the barrel blocks the comp as the slide reciprocates. You're exhanging almost an inch of barrel length to have the inherently least effective comp you could design. The 17 round mags add a new dimension to the compact genre. It's a nice handgun, worth solid consideration but I'm getting rid of mine.
