Legally it's fine. AFAIK, the FA CA7 is special because it's not a single shot/break action pistol, it's a magazine fed manually operated pistol. The benefit is that if single shot -> semi auto conversion is banned, CA7 is unaffected since it was never single shot, as you would go from manual action -> semi auto.
