Based on the comments you've left, I'd guess that you're somewhere around MR 7 or 8. I might be wrong, but it's just a guess. Everyone here is correct in saying that you probably shouldn't invest so heavily into the Gorgon, as it's variants are better, but here are some other good primaries that are at your MR that are worth investing into (in my opinion):After a couple days of googling this question, I've come up with a LOT of conflicting information and I'm not entirely sure what's current any more, or indeed what's smart. Near as I can tell, currently the Gorgon's Blueprint can drop from three enemies in the game - Heavy Gunners, Arid Heavy Gunners and Grineer Wardens, and is no longer available either in the Market or as a login reward.

The Gorgon is a spooling weapon, which I'm not a fan of, and it just sucks at long range, which I enjoy shooting from. It also takes forever to reload. The components, however, are easy to farm. The Grakata is nice as it doesn't spool and has a faster fire rate, but it needs neurodes, which are HELL to farm. So I'm torn between the two.

836. Posted September 11, 2015. Prisma Gorgon is definitely the better one. It's accuracy is far more acceptable, less spool time, bigger mag and better crit though I didn't build it for crit. But I personally use the Wraith, for swag factor. Don't like the prisma sound and prefer the look of the Wraith.
