Usually the scammers trick an actual Instacart shopper into giving them their verification code (they call the shopper pretending to be Instacart support), once they have the verification code the scammer takes over the shoppers account... and does stuff like what happened to you.

What the fuck people are saying is, shoppers get screwed over by instacart hiding individual tips until after the order is done. So you get a decent tipped order and the reality the entire tip is coming from one customer while it's always the non tipper who has the most complaints and requests, but you don't know that until after the order is delivered.
