The 2.9 and 3.0, like like the 4.0, were only available with EFI so it would take some doing to swap one in. Swapping in a carbed 302/5.0 isn't too difficult, but there are quite a few things to consider. Motor mounts...there are several available, from about 45 bucks up to almost 200. I made my own.
