Pausing it for 10s, 30s, 60s or more doesn't help. That makes me believe that Plex could do better in terms of buffering. Is there any configuration I can do to improve this buffering? I am ok in watching the stream with a considerable delay, as long as it is smooth. I tried to set "Transcoder default throttle buffer" to 180s, but it doesn't help.
No, lol, it's just the transcode buffer. It will transcode up to 600 seconds before it starts to throttle the transcoder. It plays the entire time. It basically transcodes 10 minutes before telling it to chill for a bit on that particular file.
