With the added success of her first solo album, Paschal left the Swaggart organization and began traveling as a full-time soloist in 1986. She began writing songs around the same time. By the 1990s, Paschal was often featured on Gaither concert tours and subsequently joined the Gaither Homecoming Tour when it launched later in the same decade.The group was a spin-off of the family group the Lefevres. They became known as the Rex Nelon Singers in 1976 because the Lefevre family members had left the group.
