Having played a horizon walker and an echo knight, I'll say right off the bat this will be a difficult build to utilise all the skills due to bonus actions; the core damage feature for horizon walkers utilises your bonus action every turn to do extra force damage, and the Echo Knight has to use a bonus action to create their duplicate. Edge of melee is ok, you have your melee friends to back you up, and overall the opportunity for party play is greater. I've played an entire campaign as a Horizon Walker archer. Hello, I recently started a Rogue/Ranger Horizon walker build. while everything may not translate perfectly I'll give my best advice. Paralyzing arrows is to unreliable to use and even if you try to build towards it with Enchantment DCs it won't make to much a difference at higher levels. Unfortunately, they're a relatively bonus action-heavy class. Hunter's mark, the Drakewarden's drake, Horizon Walker's Planar Warrior, and Monster Slayer's Slayer’s Prey are all multiple-combat abilities that will definitely compete with your free misty step castings.
