You can only open the pond hatch door underwater. The one in the lab itself stays closed. There are some small labs all over the map which are still closed. I believe that's the one that opens when you open the Dome in the pond lab... I'm not sure on that though, as other than just the lab itself I haven't done much exploring in the pond.

I have found 4 hatches, but they are either locked or lead to a locked door! One is against the cliff, facing the direction of the oak tree, you can enter it but it's all submerged and you can't do anything within it. One has the screws that will unlock, there is an analyzer but a door requiring a key.
