My short answer is CenturyLink has a stronger network for a cheaper price, but with terrible customer support. ImOn offers better customer support but a network that I experienced dropped packets and lag and is more expensive. With CenturyLink, I have 1 gig up/down and a locked price of $65 a month and that is my exact bill.

When I had CenturyLink my max was 7Mbos and internet went out at least once per hour, making gaming or WFH impossible. They ignored my requests for service until I told them I was cancelling and then they finally replaced my modem/router combo.
