SCHY is a pretty good fund. It's still very new, but should be a good performer in the long term. It follows very similar criteria to SCHD, meaning the average company in the fund should be financially solid. So far it's been less volatile than VXUS (for comparison), but it'll be interesting to see how it performs in a bull market.

SCHD uses the DJIA 100 for US stocks, SCHY uses the DJ International 100. So under normal circumstances you can use VT or VTI/VXUS for total exposure, or SCHD/SCHY for less exposure but almost exactly the same returns in exchange for an expense ratio that pays the fund managers to do research and whatnot for you.
