So far, the WPO500 reaches just under 600F with the same thermometer when the dial is set for 660F. (The gauge reads 630F). Perhaps the thermometer reading isn't correct due to reading it at a sharp angle, i.e. the oven may really be hotter. In that case, I need to dial the temperature down a bit.
