There are some tricks for cds that get stuck and other mechanical things like that, but I don't know of any for the laser itself besides cleaning. You always need the pac adapter from 2003 to 2011 always, if you don't use it the BCM can turn on the thef systen and lock the ignitions system in the worse case, you first will lose the warnings, lights on, door open, key on the ignition, low fuel, air bag warnings, couple of months later the airbags ... After several reprogramming attempts and software upgrades, wiring harness cleanings, ground wire checks, 2 new radios and one new touch screen, it wasn't actually either, It was called a Low voltage cable. Bulletin No.: 20-NA-235. Some customers or dealers may comment of ghost or phantom touch where random touch inputs occur with the radio display; and/or the radio display is non-responsive to touch immediately after having cleaned, wiped, or disinfected the radio display. Either condition will last the entire ignition cycle.

I ordered a replacement touch screen/digitizer on eBay for about $30 took me about an hour to replace it following directions but having no prior experience with this type of rebuild.I recently found out that my left brake light doesn't work; the right does. Both blinkers work. Parking lamps work. Just the left brake light doesn't. Today I started the truck and there's no display. The radio is black (but the radio still works) and the odometer is black. Fuse 14 43 and iirc 40 all removed and no change but 43 or 40 turned the mirror off.
