It does nothing to lower the trigger pull weight but does have a Pre Travel set screw in the front of it to take out a lot of the standard Glock trigger pre travel. To lower the pull weight you need to use a reduced power striker spring (4.5lb), reduced power striker safety plunger spring and a 3.5 connector from either Ghost or Double Diamond.

I would not recommend polishing the plunger. If you take too much of the metal off by "polishing", you will make your G43 into an unsafe weapon which could result in the "safety" part of the plunger not so safe.
