Difference between glock 30 and 30s.
6329 posts · Joined 2013. #12 · May 21, 2013. From my understanding, all SF models are Gen 3 pistols and the G30s uses the G30 SF frame with the G36 slide. I recently compared the Gen 4 G30, a G30 SF, and a G30s all side by side. All were new in the box, were blue labels and were priced exactly the same.
The Glock 30 sits by the bed and is ready to roll. A 1911 is a straight shooter, you aim it, pull the trigger and it goes right where you want it. So, there’s a little yet obvious difference between their overall size and thickness. This slight difference makes the Glock 36 better to hold and concealed carry.

The 30S, SF, is very close in size to the Glock 19 – another one of my favorite models. It is a little thicker in the grip, but not by much. FYI the G41 and G21 frames are the same. the difference is in slide thickness. G21 has thick slide same thickness as a standard G30 G41 has a thin slide same thickness as a G30s also the "sf" frame designation is the same as the gen 4 without any backstraps.
