Even 20% change to get hit is still rather high for it to happen. Evasion isn't a sure thing. Also you can have more than 100% for stats so the 80% isn't as high as you think. Think of Evasion as a last line of defense. It's not what you want to rely on but it's there to help when ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.
