My current army is kind of a disorganized mishmash of troops and I think I'm gonna scrap the whole thing and rebuild it in a more organized manner. I'm planning on building an army of around ~200 troops and so far I plan on using 50 Khan's Guards, 50 Fian Champions, 25 Sturgian Heavy Spearmen, and 25 Linebreakers.

The best battanian infantry is non-battanian infantry. Run around hiring empire troops if you're at peace, and take them prisoner if you are at war. If you want to roleplay their faction a bit more, just get more archers. All you need is 5-10 infantry with shields and have them stand in front of your line.

For your backline, I highly suggest Harpies (You should be able to recruit them real fast in the game as the province island below yours allows Harpies.) If you can't get harpies, than normal bowmen, slingers, and javelin are okay. If you want a full army of 20, I also suggest some cavalry/chariots, other mythical units.
