Allot of the DD2 Crossover Event's mechanics are designed to be "Cheat Proof" and have mechanics built in that prevent cheesing the event. Old ones army arena ideas? Would like to get some ideas from people that would tell me how i can make the arena less flat and still keep them from "ghosting" into blocks or the sky (plus i would like to know how many blocks exactly between the gem and portals).

Please help me successfully summon the Old One’s Army! I’ll post some details about my arena that I think are relevant. My arena is 519 feet long and 182 feet tall (not counting any housing for npcs). I have 8 layers of platforms which are 10 tiles apart. It’s not in space, but it’s close enough that harpies tend to visit the top layers.

The mobs from it seem to be somewhat ghost-like and float about 3 blocks above the ground after hitting them. Before, with just a plain, flat surface, they looked and acted like "normal" mobs. Does anyone know if this is because of the traps or is it my area design?

The Old One's Army enemies are immune to traps and lava. They also walk through walls if they're in the way. They pretty much made it impossible to afk farm this event. Your best approach is probably just a long, flat sky bridge. Make it out of asphalt if possible. It can also come in handy to have a couple layers of platforms for extra mobility. I only use it for Old One's Army, because I have other arenas for bosses and events. There are restrictions in place for Old One's Army that aren't applicable to other events, so this arena was pretty much optimized around those restrictions.
