The S model 30's have a thinner slide like the 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig Glocks. Unfortunately they come on the 30sf lower, so no Gen.4 option as of yet. I read somewhere that the 30 Gen4 had the sf frame. If that's correct then that would make the 30 Gen4 exactly the same pistol as the 30sf.
