The '67 steering shaft in my car is one piece from the wheel all the way to the box. I was told there are 2 different size bearings on the engine side of the column. Of course the one in mine was NLA but a local GM steering column guy had the part I needed for cheap. From what I have seen, a lot of the '66/'67 stuff is similar and interchanges.The Monte rear (1970-1972) should "bolt in", and your stock 66 springs should fit (I have done this swap many times - I have only owned "1966" Chevelles). All the suspension brackets are in the same location, so its a bolt in. The upper (frame) pocket/pigtail changed in 1967, so the chassis year will affect the spring selection.
